The mission of the First Step House of Del Ray is to provide the highest quality recovery residences coupled with a caring and nurturing environment so that the recovering person can learn how to live life without using drugs or alcohol. We offer ways to achieve long term recovery from the debilitating effects of alcoholism and substance abuse. Our goal is to help our residents return to their communities as productive members of society. Our experience proves that in early sobriety it is extremely helpful to live with other sober individuals in the early stages of their recovery. We provide a safe, clean and supportive environment for individuals in the first phase of their development who are not quite ready to live on there own. Our guidance, rules and our structure provide you with an easier transformation back into community living. Residents of First Step House become lifetime members of a diverse network of individuals who have achieved long term sobriety and are practicing living life on its own terms.





Being in recovery myself, I know how hard it is to actually stop the madness of what my life had become. My favorite line is I was (stuck like chuck) No matter how much I wanted to stop I just did not know how to. Through the fellowships of AA / NA and sponsorship and the support network I built up with time I have learned new ways to think. I've been taught it all starts with a thought process. A thought creates a feeling, a feeling creates an action, an action creates a result.




My mission is to teach you how to start this thinking process in your life.

I will close with this I'VE BEEN TO HELL AND SOMEONE SHOWED ME THE WAY OUT. IF YOU LET ME I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT THEY SHOWED ME. It is great being Sober!!!!!!!
